It wouldn't be long before you found yourself playing hacky-sack with a bunch of dudes in tie-dyes.

You should just keep balling man!Jeffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01342199027777229075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17208658.post-61980337010135872292011-02-10T15:43:31.644-08:002011-02-10T15:43:31.644-08:00Well, I've always had similar thoughts when wi...Well, I've always had similar thoughts when witnessing the old geazers sporting these robotic parts: pity and amazement. Couple with the "why-would-you-be-so-crazy-as-to-keep-pushing-it-past-your-body's-evident-signs-that-you-should-giving-up" feeling... Until now. At the ripe age of 38. Still not ready to give up. Having just suffered a potentially game-style-changing knee injury...

Only time will tell if I can let go of the weekly adrenaline rush, ego-boosting experience. Can I really, as per my wife suggestions, replace b-ball with less-damaging Ultimate Frisbee!?!?!?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17208658.post-55208636681551446822011-02-09T12:21:28.099-08:002011-02-09T12:21:28.099-08:00Thanks Old School! You feel like a different player. Maybe it's not all bad though. Sometimes I felt like my brace was a badge of toughness and I played tougher (with my uninjured parts) as a result--especially in the post, which seemed to fit with the brace. Maybe it's time to watch some film of injured greats. At any rate, good luck and keep on ballin!Drew Halfmannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15672641455185221691noreply@blogger.com
